NoteStar

NoteStar is simply an internet tool established through 4teachers.org aimed to assist students in grades 4th through 12th in preparing and establishing research papers.

It is benificial for both students and teachers. Students can take notes from online resources as they find them and automatically credit the author of the information to create a bibliography. There are many tasks for students to accomplish through NoteStar including but not limited to assigning topics to group members, taking notes, saving sources, and creating printable notes and bibiographies. Teachers find it useful in the classroom because they can arrange students into groups for projects, check sources for authenticity, track individual progress to be used for student and parent interactions, send messages, and most importantly introduce students to an organized technological way of taking notes.

NoteStar has been very useful in a few upper elementary classrooms I have been able to witness.
