What is CompassLearning Odyssey?
CompassLearning Odyssey is a computer program that is used in many schools across the state for students to use computer games to enhance their learning in any subject.

The student can choose any game, but the teacher can also make a "folder(s)" that the student will work on that is individualized to their learning needs.

What are the advantages and disadvantages?
The advantages are it is a great tool to individualize your lessons for the students and you can also choose specific games that can improve their weak areas of learning. Most teachers I know that use this tool love the program because the kids are learning while enjoying the games. However, the disadvantages are many teachers find it difficult to find the time to create each folder filled with their specific games for each individual student in their classroom.

The audience is the students to benefit their individual learning while incorportating technology and having fun!

What is my opinion on this useful tool?
I think it is a great and useful tool for the students in the classroom, and it is especially useful if the students have a computer lab or place where each student can have their own computer and time to work on their individual games that are helping them to learn. I have heard from many teachers that I know personally that this program is a great way to personalize the students learning in the form of a technological game that the students can enjoy, while the teacher can benefit from what they learn using the tools in this program.
