What is Write:OutLoud?

Write:OutLoud is an easy to use word processor that gives immediate speech feedback as students type words, sentences and paragraphs.

How can it be used?
This is a devices specifically built for students in grades 3-12 for students who struggle with writing. As students type, the word processor reads and highlights the words being read, this gives the students a better understanding of what information they have. Students can use the speech feedback button to read the entire paragraph or have it read word-by-word. Revising and editing tools such as dictionary and spell checkers help stduents make changes and better improve their writing.

My Opinion on Write:OutLoud.

Write:OutLoud would be a wonderful asset to have in the classroom. This tool will allow any student having difficulty writing get their ideas out and in a matter that feels comfortable to the stduent. I think the built in auditory feedback is what really makes this product, this allows struggling students to know what they already have and what they are lacking in their assignment. This is a great way for students to practice and get better at writing on their own without feeling pressured, it makes the whole writing process for them more stress free and natural. I think this is a great tool and I think that it will only get better as a product and improve as time goes on.
