Many of you have heard of Google Earth but probably don't know how it could better education. Google Earth is an interactive map. It provides real life images of places all around the world. Google Earth can be used for Geography classes. It allows the student to see things such as the longitude and latitude of an area or real life images that can be zoomed to street view. It would allow them to see other parts of the world just through the click of a button.
The best age group that would benefit from Google Earth would be high school students. By this age they have had enough experience with technology that it would be easy for them to navigate through Google Earth.

I think this tool would be great to use in the classroom. It would allow the students to advance their technology skills in the classroom further than just the internet or Microsoft office. The students will benefit from this by seeing live pictures of places around the world. This would be a fun interactive lesson for them to do in a Geography classroom.
Google Earth is a great way to incorporate beneficial technology in the classroom and to grab the attention of students!
