The website www.learn4good.com/kids is a website where teachers and parents have free access for lessons, worksheets, educational games, and activities for the subject areas: math, science, music, art, and Spanish. The website has other sections they cover like school, travel, hotels, products, and teaching job. The section this website will focus on is the Kid’s corner section.
Some advantages are the games on the website are useful and fun. I can see kids having fun learning new concepts. For Spanish, students can learn verbs, colors, and numbers. It shows what the item looks like and how to pronounce it. The best part of it is that most of the sites resources are completely free. Now, there are some limitations to the website as well. All though, this site provides free access to many resources, they are very limited. There are only a few things in each subject area that teachers, parents, and children can use. The site encourages you to purchase other resources that they recommend. Also, this site does not include Social Studies, which I think is a very important subject area to learn. There are no games or access to other resources for Science. It just lists recommendations for Science materials. I think the website could be more attractive. People are attracted to something that appeals to the eye, and the beige color background makes the website “boring”. The audience include parents, teachers, students teachers, and of course the children.
I think the website is very useful. Teachers can always appreciate have a website that does not charge you for lesson plans, worksheets, and activities; even if it is limited to only a few resources like this website. The games on-line are fun. (I played a couple of them) This is something the parents and students can enjoy as well. Overall, I give this website 4 stars.
