| Sam Stern's Website |
Known as the youngest cook in the UK, Sam Stern brings 'tweens and teens different recipes, from all over the world, that are not only elegant, but tasty and easy to make with a little prep. Sam provides cooks with a variety of recipes ranging from home made cheeses, soups, appetizers, main courses, desserts, drinks, and other snacks using common ingredients such as meat, potatoes, vegetables, and pasta. Moreover, Sam includes a section just for vegetarians and most of the recipes are great for those with glutten allergies.
Each recipe includes large print instructions and complete lists of ingredients. There are pictures that give young cooks a visual as to how they can present their eats or add their own unique touches. Along with the recipes, there are informational boxes that provide additional tips and substitutes to add some flare to each dish. The photography is great because everyone who is cooking in this guide is a teenager so, in comparison to professional cookbooks, this one is more lax and tailored to those who are young and inexperienced with cooking. However, 'tweens and teens who do love to experiment have plenty of opportunities to add to Sam's recipes are flexible enough where exotic expensive spices make or destroy the dish. This cookbook is a must for the young cook.
