Labrinth turned down working with to concentrate on British artists. The singer, who produced behind Tinie Tempah's singles "Pass Out" and "Frisky", was being lined up to work with the "Hard" singer, but decided against it so he could concentrate on the currently flourishing U.K. urban scene.

"I met Rihanna at a dinner, because 's Roc Nation label wanted to sign me, but I wasn't happy with the offer," he exclusively told BANG Showbiz. "I could work with Rihanna if I wanted to but right now, I'm going to stick to U.K. artists."

"I love the idea that our industry and out urban industry is coming up. We've got loads of American coming over here to I talk to us about music, so it's really exciting and we need to create more while the door is open."

Labrinth, real name Timothy McKenzie, has recently worked writing tracks with Professor Green, and but says he's also now ready to break out into the mainstream himself, with new single "Let the Sun Shine".

He said, "I was performing before I was producing, I've got the confidence for it, and I believe I'm ready. I just love music, it doesn't matter what I do with it. I've learned how to do me very well, and I'm ready to break out."

"Let the Sun Shine" is released on September 27.
