What is the tool?
The tool that I researched was the Classroom Performance System or CPS Clickers. There are many different types and brands of clickers that you can choose from. Some are more complex than others, so they can be compatible for younger grades as well as college students.
Uses and Audience:
The students use this tool and the teacher can monitor the results and questions asked. This tool can be used to play games, take quizzes or tests, and to answer questions. Each student is assigned a clicker that is registered to them and the computer records all of its activity. The teacher can set up a series of questions on the computer and they can show the questions on the board. The computer will later tell the teacher which questions the student got wrong and what they put as their answer. CPS Clickers allow teachers to track performance and academic growth.
Advantages:
There are many advantages to the CPS Clickers. Some of them are that the teacher can use them as a way of tracking student progress and areas that the students are struggling with. The clickers are also great for review games. This is a lot more fun than just putting questions on the board. The students like that hey can use the clickers.
Disadvantages:
The disadvantages are that taking quizzes and tests on them is not always the best way. This is because it is easy for the students to cheat. They can easily see what buttons other students around them press.

My Opinion:
I personally like the idea of the CPS Clickers. I think that they would be great to use for review questions, games, or daily warm up questions. I would not recommend using them for test or quizzes because of the fact that it is easy for students to cheat.
