Kidspiration
Kidspiration helps K-5 learners develop strong thinking skills, strengthen their reading and writing skills, and build conceptual understanding in math.
The kidspiration software can be used with any content area--science, math, social studies, and reading/writing/language arts. Kidspiration can be used as an effective and creative reinforcement tool or as a direct assignment tool. If your school is fortunate enough to have a school wide license for the inspiration/kidspiration software this is a great resource to use in your computer center. The software has activities that allow students to build upon prior knowledge of a certain topic and develop a better understanding. The software has games and activities for students to use to help build their understanding and reinforce their skills. The one disadvantage that I see is that there is only a limited 30 day free trial available to download and after that the software must be purchased. This is a great tool for parents to have at home to help their children with homework and I would highly recommend it if not for the having to purchase the software.
My opinion about this tool is that it is a great resource and wonderful tool for teachers and parents to have to help students learn and grow. The tool is fun and entertaining and students will have fun while they learn. Kidspiration allows students a visual media tool to build upon the necessary skills that will make them successful in their future.
