I decided to blog about YouTube. Mostly everybody is familiar with YouTube. This is a website that allows people to upload and download videos. People can even communicate with each about their opinion on each video.
This website is beneficial to students, because this is something that most students are already familiar with. They can use this website to upload the videos they made for an assignment and have other classmates comment. Teachers can, additionally, use this website to upload a video and have the students watch. The students can revisit the video just in case they need a reminder on what was taught. The teacher can even make the video a private video, so outsiders cannot comment on the videos. It will just be for the students in the class.
The disadvantage of using YouTube is the students can get distracted. It might be hard for the students to stay on task if they are just a click away in watching a different video. Another disadvantage is the video has a time limit. It can only be 10 minutes long.
Anybody can comment on YouTube. This is website that targets all ages. As long as the students have some sort of computer skills, then they will be able to use YouTube. There are even children at age five who knows how to use the internet.

I believe YouTube is very beneficial. I believe teachers and students should use YouTube. Many students visit YouTube and teachers need to learn about things that the students are interested in. Students tend to learn better when it comes to using something that they are interested in. Some students like to use their creativity to create a video as a project. The students can upload the video and have the class comment on it. Teachers can view at home if students are participating. This will show the teacher that students are actively studying at home.
