Promethean whiteboards are interactive whiteboards used in the classroom that allow the students to get involved in what they are learning. It is chalk and marker free. You use these boards for almost anything. Anything that is on your computer you can show on your board. You can upload different programs like graph drawers, money programs, handwriting lines, etc. You can show how to do different math problems or pay jeopardy games on them with ease.
The advantages of this tool are pretty easy to see. It allows technology into the room and makes it easy for students to see what is going on. I think that it actually grabs the student’s attention because most kids are amused by something they’ve never seen before.
