4Teachers

The tool I chose is a website called 4Teachers. The reason I chose this type of tool is because it can be used in a variety of ways, primarily for the use of teachers in the classroom. Although, the website is directed towards teachers as an audience, everything in this site is for the enhancement of classroom management and the education for the students. Inside this one website are a wide range of tools that will enhance the stability of a classroom.

Advantages:

One interesting component that interested me is the Assign-a-Day tool. A teacher can use this to create a calendar for her students in order to provide them with not only communication but organization as well. As we all know, communication is the key to any classroom. This is just one tool that 4Teachers provides that helps manage the classroom more efficiently.

Not only does this site provide academic tools to integrate technology in the classroom, from Skill Builders, to a Teachers Tackle Box, it also provides the teacher with their own Educator's Resources. These resources provide teachers with assistive technology sites, and as well as assessment resources.

Disadvantages:

Many times schools will have restricted websites when trying to access resources via the web. Although this set is an educational website, there could be issues that may arise when trying to use it. Make sure to talk with the tech at the school if there is a problem accessing this site.

I thought this new tool I found could be very beneficial to a classroom. It is always great to have the resources at hand. I believe it is very important to incorporate technology whenever possible, this would be a good way to do so in the classroom.
