What is Arcademic Skill Builders?
Arcademic Skill Builders are educational online games that help the user practice their skills such as basic math, thinking skills, language arts and vocabulary.

How can it be used?
This could be used in several ways -
1. As a "free time" center on the computer so the student's could practice the skills they have learned.
2. As a daily/weekly homework assignment. (A certain amount of time or a certain number of games within 15 minutes, etc.)
3. Used during computer lab at school. Arcademic Skill Builder is a safe environment for children to use. It is impossible for an outsider to contact the student while playing these games. If the game is a multiplayer game, it can be made private and other students must join by entering a password that is created by the student. If it is made public, no information can be shared with the outsider.

What are the advantages?
There are advantages of this game such as the security that ASB offers. Children can be online without being exposed to any unappropriate content or persons. Another advantage is the entertainment factor while still being educational.

What are the disadvantages?
Some disadvantages of ASB are that the children can easily get bored while playing these games. I found them entertaining for a few minutes, and then it became very repetative. Another disadvantage is that it is only targeted for younger children. I believe older students could use something such as ASB with higher levels of education.

Who is the audience for this tool?
The audience would be any user that played the games. These games are for practice, learning, and maintaining the content knowledge that students are taught.

I really enjoyed browsing this website and playing all the games. As I said in the disadvantages, I became bored easily; however, this could be because I am older and have had plenty of practice already. I really like the security features of this website which prevents children from being exposed to anything that could be posed as a risk. I hope that my student's will enjoy this website and continue to use it outside of the classroom.
