Newsletters with Letterpop

/ On : 20.42/ Thank you for visiting my small blog here. If you wanted to discuss or have the question around this article, please contact me e-mail at herdiansyah hamzah@yahoo.com.
Letterpop is a program online that can be used to create and publish online media. This site can be used to make newsletter-like publications, such as announcements and invitations. These media projects can be published on Letterpop's site, allowing them to be viewed by anyone or kept private, with access only given to people of your choice. The site has a email feature that allows your product to be sent to anyone online who's email address you have. This tool would be great for creating written media products for presentations or projects. This site could also be good for creating regular announcements for parents from the classroom or to the school for clubs.

The biggest advantages of this tool is its simplicity and its price, free. The site gives paying users more features, but the free capabilities were enough for me to create a short newsletter, publish it to a unique URL, and gave me the option to print or email it. The free version would allow me to create another publication and I could add many pages to the one I created. The interface was very simple and easy to use. The addition and formatting of text happens directly on the pages, and pictures can be placed on the document by uploading them to Letterpop or from a flicker account. There is a good selection of templates for your media for you to choose from as well. Since Letterpop is a site no software is required only a internet connection and a computer

The biggest weakness also comes from its simplicity. The tool is a site, so without internet connectivity there is no way to access or work on the project for students who do not have home access. The site does not have some of the advanced features that can be found in some publishing programs. The free account does have some limitations that are noticeable for education. There are advertisements on the product which are always a concern for educators. There is also a limit to the email capabilities for free users. Many of these problems could be solved by upgrading to a paid account, but that would only work for one user. If you created a classroom account, multiple people may be able to use it at one time and upgrading one account is much easier. The least expensive paid account is only 25 dollars a year.

The audience for this tool is persons or businesses looking to create newsletters or announcement like media. The site does suggest the basic classroom uses, like newsletters or class announcements. The presentation and design gives it the feel of a quicker solution to the need for media production Letterpop is a program online that can be used to create and publish online media. The Letterpop site offers more information on the product, as well as information on the individual plans. For example of a quick classroom project, here is an example newsletter I created. This product has great potential as a classroom tool. This adds another option to the projects that call for a produced media element. The ability to publish to the internet changes the usual approach and creates a very integrated approach with technology.
