TimeLiner 5.0 by Tom Snyder Productions is a software program that students can use to organize data – anything from daily activities, historical events, scientific processes, to story arcs. It is simple to use – just enter the dates and events. The program includes many historical images and clip art, and allows users to import additional images from the Web. Movies and sounds can also be added. Once the timeline is complete it can be printed, posted on the Web, or used in slide show.
On the Tom Snyder Web-site there is a manual that shows how Timeliner aligns with national and state standards. Unfortunately, that site was down – when I was looking into it.
