The Indigo Learning System is a combination student-response system and low-cost handheld computer. It is a newly developed network learning system made specifically for assessment and instruction. In 2007, its pilot project was initiated in several public schools located in Hawaii and Atlanta, Georgia. The Indigo Learning System’s popularity quickly spread through the educational technology community winning the Award of Excellence in 2007 from Technology & Learning, highlighting its abilities and affordability.
What does Indigo do?

Teachers can either create their own assessments or utilize the built-in test question bank that contains over 10,000 questions (multiple choice, fill-in-the-blank and essay questions). And, the best thing about the test bank is that it is aligned to state-specific educational standards! Plus, it provides instant feedback for educators to guide classroom decisions and
ensure that students achieve success.

No sharing of desktop computers or lessons taking days to finish because of lack of technology!
