What is Nettrekker?

Nettrekker is a preselected website constructed by educators to make web resources easier, relevant, appropriate and available. The site is grouped in 3 categories: elementary, middle and high school, with a separate channel for ELL (English language learners) in di (differentiated instruction) ELL Channel.

There are two ways for teachers to use Nettrekker. The teacher can search for the content and then link it back to state standards. The teacher can click on the standard first then link the standard to the links of the content. The program is very user friendly.

Can I Use Nettrekker?

Nettrekker is designed for all levels of teachers, students, parents and administrators. Nettrekker assist teachers with additional resources such as lesson plans, links to other resources, and activities for the students. Nettrekker assist teachers with teaching within state requirements. Teachers can use exam view to assist with tracking of student’s progress. Nettrekker is beneficial for tutoring, preparation for standardize test and college entrance exams. Parents can use Nettrekker to see the requirements mandated by the state at each level and resources to assist their child with homework and studying for exams. Administrators can use this tool as an additional resource to refer teachers that have problems with planning and teaching lessons. Administrators can use Nettrekker as a school-wide tool to prepare for CRCT and GHSCT.

Recommendation of Tool

I would highly recommend Nettrekker. I had the pleasure of working with Nettrekker 4 years ago while working with a fourth grade class at Norton Park Elementary as a Supply Teacher. The students really enjoyed working with this tool. The tool is very user friendly for students and teachers. The tool allows each student to work at their level and pace. The tool allows the teacher to assist all students while they are working. I was able to use this tool to assist the students with preparation for the CRCT exam. Each student was able to focus on the skills they needed to be successful. Nettrekker provided reports that would tell the teacher the gains the students were making or other areas that need attention. Nettrekker is used throughout schools, tutoring agencies and in the homes of the 21st century students.
