Jessica Simpson and longtime boyfriend Tony Romo called it quits on Thursday, the day before Jessica's 29th birthday, according to People:

"She is heartbroken," says the source. "She loves Tony. But it's been difficult lately. He's busy with his career and she's getting ready to shoot her show (The Price of Beauty). They decided to part ways."
The Dallas Cowboys quarterback fueled breakup rumors when he showed up with about 14 friends at the Hollywood hotspot MyHouse on Friday night without the birthday girl, a source tells PEOPLE.
Simpson had planned to throw a Barbie and Ken-themed party for her birthday, but it fell through, according to a message she wrote on her Twitter page Saturday. "Barbie party didn't happen, but I turned 29 and feel like I am on top of the world yelling I LOVE GETTING OLDER!" she wrote.

Kudos to Jessica Simpson for getting dumped right before turning just shy of 30 and still taking it like a champ. Then again, it's not like she doesn't have large breasts that any man would kill to touch.

Eva Longoria claims she likes to be tied up for sex

Eva Longoria hasn’t been getting a lot of attention lately. Have you missed her? Yeah, I thought so. I have to give her some credit - she was getting totally overexposed, to the point where people were getting utterly bored with her, and she thoughtfully took a step back. She didn’t show up to every event, she didn’t put on another ball gown just for the opening of an envelope. I can’t even remember the last event I saw her and her overdressing habit. Maybe I just blocked her out of my mind.

Anyway, it seems Eva had an public relations itch she needed to scratch, and now we’re being informed about some details of Eva’s sex life that I wish I could now erase from my mind. Eva participated in a “Best Ever Sex” survey specifically for “A-list celebs” according to The Sun. In the survey, Eva claims she likes to be tied up during sex. Now, it’s not that a little light bondage is gross to me (it isn’t), but I’m just a little creeped out because it’s Eva “Too Much Information” Longoria. And who really thinks Tony Parker is tying her up? Tony always looks like “What smells? What’s going on?” is his permanent internal monologue. I totally don’t buy it:

Spider-Man star Kirsten Dunst, 25, told the Cosmopolitan survey she romped in a store changing room with actor Jake Gyllenhaal.

Megan Fox needs to be drunk to watch her films

Megan Fox hates to watch herself “act”. She admitted as much recently when she claimed that in order to sit through Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, she needed some champagne. Personally, I don’t think I could sit through a Megan Fox movie without several shots of hard liquor, but that’s just me. Megan describes her anxiety with watching herself as a “phobia”, but I’ve read many actors feel the same way about watching their own work. I’ve heard people like Nicole Kidman, Julianne Moore and Hugh Grant describe their horror at watching themselves on film, and how they usually avoid their own films like the plague:

It’s nice to see that Megan Fox takes the same approach to watching one of her movies as the rest of the planet.

The actress has admitted that she needs to be drunk before a viewing - especially when it came to her most recent flick, the critically-panned Transformers 2.

Megan - who spent the weekend househunting in Santa Monica with on/off boyfriend Brian Austin Green - admitted: “I usually don’t watch myself. I don’t watch playback. I don’t look at still photos. I have a phobia of it.’

“But, I forced myself to sit down for Transformers 2. I shot an entire glass of champagne, so that I could get through it.”

What is the tool?
The really neat tool I have researched is Epals. Epals is a global community of connected classrooms that allows students to communicate with other students from different classrooms around the world. Students can communicate through email and blogs. Epals are safe and protected and require no cost. The website makes it really easy to sign up and match a classroom with yours.

How can it be used?
Epals can be used through email or blog. Students are able to connect with other students across the world. For example, if the students are learning about a natural disaster, the classroom can connect with students living in that area. Then students are able to talk to someone who is actually experiencing the disaster. This makes learning more interesting to students and feels more real.

What are the advantages and disadvantages of this tool?
The advantage of using Epals is that it allows students to actually connect with what they are learning about. It's hard to teach students about a different culture without allowing them to experience it in some way. Epals is a great way to have students connect with someone from that culture and allow that experience to teach them the most.
The only disadvantage that I could see would be that Epals are available at home as well. At school, the teacher can monitor what is being blogged or emailed. Although the site is protected, students may try to write something inappropriate or something out of context. I would make sure that my students only used Epals at school during a selected time.

Who is the audience for this tool?
The audience for this tool would be focused on primary-secondary students. Teachers and administrators can use this website to help their students grow.

I think this tool is very useful for the classroom. I think this tool gives students an experience they would probably never get elsewhere. I think students would really enjoy learning about cultures, disasters, etc. through talking with other students from other communities and/or countries.

Debbie Rowe Injected Jackson with Drugs

Debbie Rowe frequently injected Michael Jackson with drugs while she worked for Jackson's dermatologist, Dr. Arnold Klein.

We've obtained law enforcement documents from the 2005 molestation trial. Included in the records is an affidavit from a Santa Barbara County Sheriff's deputy who served a search warrant on Dr. Klein in 1993 to obtain Jackson's medical records during the first molestation investigation.

In the affidavit, the deputy writes, in August 1993, "...Ms. Rowe observed the back of Jackson's body while she gave him massages to help him sleep. Ms. Rowe also observed Jackson's buttocks on numerous occasions when she gave him injections prior to acne treatments."

The affidavit does not specify the type of drug Rowe administered. As we reported, Jackson sought out anesthesia and other sedatives for even minor procedures, including acne treatment.

Jackson Doc Hid Medical Records, Deputy Says

Turns out this isn't the first time Dr. Arnold Klein has resisted turning over Michael Jackson's medical records to authorities -- according to a Santa Barbara County deputy sheriff.

As we first reported, the L.A. County Coroner has requested medical records from Dr. Klein and authorities tell us he has not fully cooperated. But the same thing happened during the first child molestation investigation targeting Jackson.

We've obtained Santa Barbara Sheriff's Department documents from the 2005 Jackson prosecution. A deputy sheriff wrote an affidavit recounting that on November 19, 1993, she served a search warrant at Dr. Klein's Beverly Hills office, looking for Michael Jackson's medical records.

The deputy's affidavit says she spoke with Dr. Klein when the warrant was served. Her affidavit says, "Dr. Klein said that prior to the service of the search warrant on November 19,1993, he removed Jackson's medical files from his office at Mr. Andelson's (his Lawyer's) direction and kept the files in his home and car."

As for why authorities searched Klein's office -- Jackson's accuser in 1993 told authorities the singer's genital area had distinct color patterns because of vitiligo. Authorities believed Jackson may have obtained prescriptions to change the coloring of the area so the accuser's description would not match.

Help Your Students Learn to Read with Starfall.com!

The tool I researched is a website called Starfall. This tool can be used by students from Pre-K on up to 3rd or 4th grade to help with their reading skills. It was developed by a gentleman named Stephen Schutz who had problems learning to read as a child and decided, once he got his PhD in Physics and got published, that he wanted to create something that would help children like him (and all others as well) learn to read. He wanted to make it fun and interesting so that all children would become avid readers and learn to enjoy the experience of reading and writing.

One advantage of this program is that it is so user-friendly and entertaining, my son (who is 6) uses it and loves every minute! Another is that the site has Parent and Educator pages with links to helpful hints and other tools that can be beneficial for even the most difficult of cases. There is even a Download Center with printouts, awards, journals - everything you need to make inspired readers and writers out of all your students. One of the best advantages - it is free, so anyone with internet access can use it, even outside of the school setting! Of course, this brings out its major disadvantage - only those with internet access can use it. But, at least it would be available at the school for the students to use... The only other disadvantage that I can see is that students will need a good bit of guidance when using this, only because the smaller ones will keep going back to their favorite story because it's cute or they're used to it instead of moving around to new and more challenging stories. But, with proper guidance, this can be avoided entirely.

In my opinion, this site is a wonderful and useful tool in helping younger students learn to read. As educators, we would want to explore this before introducing it to our students so that we can guide them in proper use of it; my experience with my son is that it can sometimes be treated more like a video game where they keep going back to what they've done before instead of moving on to the next level. With proper guidance, you should be able to get great little readers thanks to this program!
