This tool is the history channel website. The channel that provides many tremendous shows dedicated to teaching about our past also has a website. The website can be used to find information about any thing that has happened in the past. It contains an encyclopedia that aids in finding information from before the Roman Empire to events that led up to the war in Iraq. This tool is internet based and can be accessed any where for free.

There are many advantages to this tool some are, the ability to access information after watching a show that has intrigued you, you can find out what happened on this day in history in several different areas, and the only draw back to this website is that you can’t watch episodes of shows that missed on the internet you must buy them. This is a way in which the History Channel makes money by selling the documentaries to schools. The audience for this tool is everybody, this tool is geared towards the education of all. This is a great tool because of the ability to access reliable information that you know hasn’t been tampered with unlike other websites. It offers a lot of information on a multitude of topics and can really aid classroom instruction.
